We are experienced breeders in the basset hound world. But recently we have moved over to the Pembroke Welsh Corgis. A breed that has always captured our hearts. If you have ever wanted to own one of these kids then you might want to know a little bit about them. You can also meet our past puppies and there new owners on the Puppies page.

Corgis are smart, extremely smart and extremely easy to train. I have trained dogs most of my life, I have never come across a dog that’s smarter than the corgi. Any dog can fetch if it wants to, but most dogs will run off with the ball or toy if not trained. Corgi’s no way; they will bring it right back. They know where the fun is and they won’t stop till they are done.

Great with kids and other animals, and amazing pest control. Just remember every Corgi is different in their personality, so these are only guild lines. Grooming is always a must, with a simple 5 mins brushing once a week you should be fine when it comes to shedding. Please note that you NEVER want to use a Furminator on you corgis coat, it will cute the hairs and make them almost wire like. Corgi’s normally don’t like their legs played with so start this at a young age with nail trimmings and just playing with their paws. Remember not to over feed your corgi, they are great liars when they want food. Over feeding will cause juvenile arthritis, and back problems. Corgi’s can live for a long time so if you want your best buddy to be around for a while keep them healthy, they need to be active. But they know when to stay calm.

One of the few problems that only Corgis have, is a rare genetic defect called fluff. I am proud to say that none of our corgis or any that we breed to have this problem. Fluff is a condition that allows the hair to grow much longer then its normal length. You can tell when a dog has this, They will look like miniature chow chows. It doesn't cause any harmful defects in their body, it is only undesirable in show dogs.

Our Corgis are sweet and amazingly well mannered. We normally always have puppies for sale. If for some reason we don't, and you are interested in a corgi. Then just email us and we can let you know when we will have some available.
